Big Numbers? Thanks Supermac18

Every now and again a user pops up on SnapMyLife and makes an immediate impact. Over the past few weeks we noticed little blips in our usual numbers and thought, what could have caused this? Google spider, reporting error, random uber-YouTuber? If you guessed the latter, congratulations. It is YouTube sensation Supermac18! Users to Watch: Summer Tours and The Real World

Seeing behind the scenes action is one of the many highlights of photo sharing. This morning we discovered three new users that you absolutely should be following.

The nationwide summer concert tours are in full swing, and now we can hit the road with these bands by following their SnapMyLife streams. We also found out that a cast member of The Real World: Cancun started sharing his photos with the SnapMyLife community. Find out more about these new users below and be sure to follow them in your stream!

JimMorgan: Jim plays for the up and coming band: Kelsey and the Chaos. A band that just so happens to be playing the Indie Stage @ this summer’s Warped Tour. Go behind-the-scenes with Jim and follow his stream.
ISeeStarsMusic: I See Stars has decided to document its entire Summer 09 tour through photos. The band takes us with them and shares daily in-the-moment pics. Check out I See Stars @ the Artery Foundation: Across the Nation Tour 09, and follow them on SnapMyLife.
JoeyRozLNW: Say hello to Joey Rozmus – he’s the new bad boy on MTV’s Real World Cancun. We know the show has finished taping, but Joey has something else up his sleeves: his own band – Late Night Wars. Follow Joey on SnapMyLife, and see what a Real World-er is really like.

Keep checking back to see more great users you should be following. The community is growing at breakneck speed, and we will do our best to make sure you are always aware of the latest and greatest!

Remembering June: The Month of Fallen Stars

mays jackson fawcett mcmahn carradine

Over the course of the past 30 days the entertainment industry has lost a great number of familiar faces.

We lost the long estranged “King of Pop” Michael Jackson, the quintessential “70’s pin-up” girl Farrah Fawcett, the co-host of Late Night Ed McMahon, the “Kung-Fu” master David Carradine, and “Mr. Oxyclean” Billy Mays.

Between this and the rain/heat waves gripping the nation, June has been a trying month here in the States.  However, just as they always do, the members of the SnapMyLife community have found solace and comfort in one another.  Sending in commemorative photos of their lost celebrity heroes and discussing the events currently effecting their daily lives, our users have once again proven the power of a great community.

Here’s to a bright – sunny – tragedy free – July!

Close to the action: Jonas Brothers

SnapMyLife user, Jessicajm, snapped some great close-up shots of the Jonas Brothers while they played to a sold out crowd @ the Dallas Cowboys stadium in Arlington, Texas.

These were some pretty great seats! Think you can get better shots of the next event you’re planning to attend this summer? We dare you to try, just upload them to SnapMyLife and let the whole world enjoy right along with you.

P.S. Keep an eye out for Miley Cyrus, who also makes an appearance in Jess’ shots.

The only way to describe Swizz Beatz is as a visionary whose exciting interests, enviable music skills and keen insights make him a person who is constantly sought after when in comes to making creative projects a success.
